Too Smart To Start has won a Merit-level 2009 Aesculapius Award from the Health Improvement Institute. The Aesculapius Award, named for the ancient Greek God of healing, recognizes outstanding organizations that provide health information to the public through the use of World Wide Web (WWW) sites and is intended to encourage excellence in health communication and promotion.

Too Smart To Start was recognized as a finalist and candidate for the prestigious FREDDIE Award by the 2009 International Health and Medical Media Awards program. The FREDDIE Awards were produced and managed under the MediMedia Foundation, a pioneer in global healthcare communications. Now in its 35th year, the competition has evolved into the world’s preeminent electronic media competition devoted to educational health and medical productions for both consumers and professionals.

The WWW Health Awards program is organized by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC), a national clearinghouse for consumer health information. The program recognizes the best health-related Web sites for consumers and professionals and provides a "seal of quality" for electronic health information.
